SQUARE, a new festival is set to take place across four cities in Portugal from January 29 to February 1,2025. The event will feature artists from all around the world, serving as a platform to unify local scenes with international artists and industry professionals from Europe and beyond. SQUARE promises to showcase a diverse and representative lineup of musical talents selected by their programming team.

The organizers of the festival have launched an open call for artists and bands to participate in the debut event. SQUARE is looking for artists who work and reside on the three continents bordered by the Atlantic Ocean: Africa, Americas, and Europe. The festival is open to all musical genres and line-up configurations and music produced in any language.

All successful applicants will receive a performance fee of €750 as well as catering, accommodation for those living more than 60km from the festival, a technical rider, and a backline. The call for artists is open until July 31, 2024, at 23:59 PM (GMT+1), with the selection of applicants made by SQUARE’s programming team. Applicants will be notified by September 2024 if they are successful in their application.
