The upcoming Glastonbury Festival will feature Shangri-la embarking on a new theme titled “The Wilding”. The South East Corner of the festival will see a complete reset for 2025, urging attendees to disconnect from technology and embrace a new experience. Shangri-la released its full line-up for this year’s festival through a hand-printed poster, showcasing four brand-new stages: Shangri-la Main Stage, Lore, Luna, and Azaadi, alongside the Nomad Stage returning.
Among the performers set to grace the Shangri-la Main Stage are Pa Salieu, Kneecap, Example, and Katy B. Luna stage will see takeovers by Brighter Days Family, Sports Banger, Defected Records, Skepta and Jammer’s Mas Tiempo, and the debut performance of MAJ!C featuring Maya Jane Coles, Alex Jones, Jammer, and Chloe Robinson. Azaadi will focus on South Asian programming, featuring acts such as Manara, Panjabi Hit Squad, Kiss Nuka, Bobby Friction, and Anyasa.
“We’ve reset our communications too, and we want to celebrate one on one, real life and analogue connections,” says Shangri-la’s Creative director, Kaye Dunnings. The Wilding aims to bring back the essence of experiencing collective joy and new wonders in a present and captivating manner. The festival organizers have made a conscious effort to hand-make their line-up announcements and communicate through newsletters for future updates.
