We, the team at Field Day, first of all would like to extend our sincerest apologies for the distress we have caused through the publication of an open letter calling for a boycott of the festival due to the new ownership.

Over the past fourteen years, we have celebrated the festival that Field Day has become – a festival built on community, celebrating emerging talent and championing new voices – with the unwavering support of our audience. Throughout many challenges, changes in venues and various moments of upheaval, we have remained steadfast in the belief that we must strive to deliver the best experience for our fans and artists alike.

So, it is with deep regret and sadness that we acknowledge the hurt and disappointment caused by recent circumstances. When we partnered with Superstruct Entertainment in 2023, our goal was to secure the festival’s future and creative independence. When KKR took over, it was beyond our control and our values and commitments to the festival remained steadfast.

We understand the disappointment expressed in the open letter by prominent members of the music community, and it is not without understanding that we have taken the time to consider our response. We hope that this statement clarifies our position and allows us to move forward in a manner that champions creativity and unity, while acknowledging the valid concerns raised.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

The open letter, signed by over 230 artists, prompted Field Day to address the concerns and express regret for any distress caused
