In Bradford, a child has tragically died in a house fire on Kingsdale Drive. Emergency services responded to the blaze at 1:08 am on Sunday morning. A woman and three other children escaped from the fire, but the child who was found inside the property was pronounced dead at the scene.
The four survivors were taken to hospital for treatment, however, their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. A police cordon is currently in place while the authorities work with a fire investigation team, seeking to establish the cause of the fire.
It is unclear at this time what started the fire or if the property had working smoke alarms. The circumstances surrounding the death of the child are still being investigated.
