The release of these pictures follows Catherine’s recent visit to the National Portrait Gallery, which was part of her early years education initiative, Shaping Us. During her visit, the princess participated in a class of five-year-olds exploring an exhibition that aimed to encourage children to depict themselves and comprehend their own emotions. Although the artists and subjects of the four portraits remain undisclosed, it is evident that Catherine’s drawing of a sleeping Prince Louis seems to be the more mature creation.
Having studied A-level art in school and art history at St Andrews University, Catherine has a background in the arts. On the other hand, Prince Louis has also displayed his creative side with the recent publication of his photograph capturing his mother on a cold winter day. These latest artworks, along with Louis’s photograph, were shared via Prince William and Catherine’s social media account.
