In a bizarre turn of events, a Harris’s hawk that has been causing chaos in a small village has been successfully captured by a resident who shares the same name. Steve Harris, 40, was able to apprehend the aggressive bird of prey in his garden located in Flamstead, Hertfordshire. The village had been on edge as reports came in of the hawk swooping down on numerous individuals since early March, resulting in injuries and drawing blood from several victims.

According to Mr. Harris, the hawk’s presence had become a daily menace, especially for his children who were unable to safely enjoy their own backyard due to the bird’s aggressive behavior. “Every morning, we wake up and see it up in the tree, getting braver and braver,” stated Mr. Harris. Determined to resolve the situation, he took matters into his own hands to safely catch the hawk, ensuring the village’s relief from the ongoing threat.

After a spontaneous act on Thursday morning, Steve Harris managed to trap the hawk using a cage left by a falconer who had been called to assist. The resident described how he bravely acted when the bird was within close proximity, successfully capturing it before calling for the falconer’s help. The hawk’s reign of terror had even impacted the local postal service, causing chaos and fear among residents, with one individual ending up in the hospital after a surprise attack by the aggressive bird.

As tensions rose and the danger level increased, the village could finally breathe a sigh of relief knowing that the tormenting Harris’s hawk had been brought under control. Jim Hewitt, one of the victims of the hawk’s attacks, expressed his delight at the capture and vowed not to be intimidated by the bird any longer. With the hawk’s reign of terror now at an end, residents can once again feel safe in their community, thanks to the decisive actions of Steve Harris
