A tragic incident unfolded outside Crawley Leisure Park as a 25-year-old woman lost her life and two others were left seriously injured after being struck by a car. The pedestrians were hit by a grey BMW 3 Series on London Road at around 8:35 pm on Saturday, according to the authorities.

The 12-year-old sister of the deceased woman and their 19-year-old cousin, who are both from the local area, were rushed to the hospital with severe injuries. A 33-year-old man from Crawley was apprehended at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving under the influence of drugs. He remains in police custody as the investigation continues.

All three pedestrians involved in the tragic accident were residents of the area. The family of the 25-year-old woman have been notified of the devastating news and are receiving support from specialized officers, as confirmed by Sussex Police. Chief Inspector James Davidson expressed condolences for the victims’ family and urged the public to respect their privacy during this challenging period.
