American R&B singer Chris Brown found himself in a predicament after being taken into custody for an alleged bottle attack at a nightclub in London. The incident is said to have occurred at the Tape club in Mayfair back in 2023, resulting in the charge of causing grievous bodily harm to music producer Abe Diaw using a bottle. Brown, aged 36, was apprehended at the Lowry Hotel in Salford and later presented in court for the case.
Preparing for his upcoming tour in the UK for June and July, Brown was in Manchester for his scheduled performances at the Co-Op Live Arena and the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. District Judge Joanne Hirst transferred the case to Southwark Crown Court in London, emphasizing the severity of the offense of grievous bodily harm, stating that it exceeded the jurisdiction of a magistrates’ court.
