In Devon, a tragic incident unfolded leading to the death of a man in his 20s, prompting the arrest of three individuals on suspicion of murder. The authorities were alerted around 00:45 BST on Saturday after receiving reports of an assault that took place in the garden of a property at Ashfield Close, Exmouth. Tragically, the man was found deceased at the scene.
Devon and Cornwall Police swiftly took action, apprehending two men in their 20s at an address in Hawthorn Grove, Exmouth, on suspicion of murder. Later on, a third individual in his 20s was also arrested in Exeter on the same charges. As the investigation progresses, all three suspects are currently in custody awaiting further legal proceedings.
DI Rob Smith of the Major Crime Investigation Team expressed gratitude towards the public for their cooperation in the initial stages of the inquiry. Despite the arrests made, cordons are expected to remain in place for the foreseeable future as authorities delve deeper into the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
