This Father’s Day, the Prince and Princess of Wales delighted fans by sharing new photos of Prince William with their three children. The first image is a posed portrait showing the prince with his arms around Prince George and Princess Charlotte, while seven-year-old Prince Louis stands in front of him. The second image is a candid black and white shot of the family lying on the grass, happily embracing and laughing.
The photos were posted on the couple’s official social media account with the caption “Happy Father’s Day, Papa (before and after!) We love you! G, C & L” along with a heart emoji. The royal family recently attended Trooping the Colour to celebrate the King’s official birthday, and a family photo from the event was also shared on Instagram, showcasing the family dressed in their finest attire.
The Father’s Day photos were taken in Norfolk by photographer Josh Shinner, who has previously worked with Prince William and Catherine on family portraits. Last year, Catherine took the Father’s Day photo, which featured the prince and his children looking out to sea. The King and Queen also joined in on the Father’s Day celebrations, extending their wishes to all fathers everywhere and sharing throwback photos of themselves with their own fathers.
In addition to the royal family’s Father’s Day celebrations, Buckingham Palace shared a touching black and white image of the late Prince Philip playing with a swing and his young children, King Charles and Princess Anne.
