A major incident was declared and four individuals were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle collision in north Wales. The incident occurred on the A55 near Pentre Halkyn, Flintshire, at 15:21 BST on Saturday when a lorry traveling eastbound collided with two westbound vehicles. One person with severe injuries was airlifted to a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent, while another individual was transported by road. Additionally, two people were taken to Glan Clwyd Hospital in Rhyl, Denbighshire.

Following the crash, the lorry driver, a 58-year-old man, was taken into custody on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has since been released pending further investigation.
