Only Fools and Horses actor Patrick Murray dies aged 68

Beloved actor Patrick Murray, known for his role as Mickey Pearce in the iconic British comedy series Only Fools And Horses, has passed away at the age of 68. His character Mickey Pearce was a friend to Del Boy and Rodney Trotter, played by Sir David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst, respectively, appearing in 20 episodes of the show from 1983 to 2003. Murray’s talent extended beyond Only Fools And Horses, as he also had roles in films like Quadrophinia and Scum, as well as television shows including The Upper Hand, The Bill, ITV Playhouse, and Bergerac.

Sue Holderness, Murray’s co-star who portrayed Marlene in Only Fools And Horses, shared a heartfelt tribute to him, expressing, “R.I.P. darling Patrick. Much love. You will be greatly missed.” Murray, who resided in Kent, battled cancer and underwent a lung tumor removal operation in its early stages in January 2022, followed by chemotherapy. Despite receiving positive news that his lung cancer was cured and the tumor in his liver was shrinking, Murray sadly revealed in April 2023 that his lung cancer had returned.
