Knutsford farm gas explosion sees five people taken to hospital

At around 1 p.m. GMT, an explosion involving a gas canister occurred at Moseley Hall Farm, also known as The Lambing Shed Farm Shop and Kitchen, located in Knutsford, Cheshire. The incident took place during a charity event organized to support the North West Air Ambulance Charity. Cheshire Police reported that the explosion was linked to a food truck operating at the event.

Emergency services, including paramedics, police, and fire crews, responded quickly to the scene. They also announced that an event scheduled for Sunday had been cancelled, as well as the closure of their cafe and farm shop for the day, prioritizing the recovery and wellbeing of their employees.

A representative from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed their presence at the farm and reported that the fire had been extinguished. Police noted that they were alerted to the situation by the fire service and that officers promptly attended the location, discovering that the gas canister had ignited and exploded.
