Irish musician CMAT has expressed regret to her fans following the cancellation of her headline appearance at the upcoming LIDO Festival. This event, originally scheduled for mid-June at London’s Victoria Park, has been postponed to safeguard the condition of the park.

The festival, which was planned to run from June 12 to 14, will now be condensed into a single day set for August 31. This change means that several performers, including CMAT, Father John Misty, and Bombay Bicycle Club, will no longer perform on the original dates.

In a message shared on social media, CMAT conveyed her disappointment at missing the festival, saying, “I realise this will cause issues for some of you who have bought tickets and may be travelling and for that I can only say sorry,” and described her feelings as “truly devastated not to be able to play this festival.” The organisers explained that an unusually wet winter had delayed the reseeding and restoration work at Victoria Park, with advisors recommending a postponement to allow the improvements to establish properly. This decision follows challenges faced last summer when drought conditions led to excessive dust during festival events.

With the festival now limited to one day, the electronic duo Maribou State and several supporting acts are set to perform. The LIDO Festival organisers emphasized that the alterations are not the fault of any artists involved and confirmed that all ticket holders will receive full refunds. Since its debut in 2025, the festival has aimed to prioritize fans, having previously hosted acts such as Massive Attack, Charli XCX, and London Grammar. Meanwhile, organisers of the All Points East festival, also held at Victoria Park later in August, have confirmed that their event will proceed as planned
