Jamie Miller reflects on how life has dramatically changed since the success of his breakthrough single, Babydoll, admitting that “nothing feels normal” but expressing a determination to “live in the moment” as he adjusts to his newfound fame. The 29-year-old artist recently made history by becoming the first Welsh musician in 15 years to reach number one on the UK singles chart, propelled by the viral popularity of the track on TikTok.
Originally from Pontprennau, Cardiff, Miller described the achievement as a dream come true. The song Babydoll gained traction largely thanks to TikTok, where actress Jennifer Love Hewitt posted videos featuring the track. Miller believes the authenticity of the song resonates with listeners, particularly as it represents his first release following a two-year break from music due to personal struggles. “There’s a genuineness to how I sound in the song.
