Authorities have detained two individuals in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 22-year-old man in west London, according to a statement from the Metropolitan Police. The suspects, a 21-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, were apprehended on Sunday and are currently being held by police.
The incident occurred early Tuesday morning at the intersection of Bath Road and Great Southwest Road in the Hounslow area. Emergency services were alerted to reports of a knife attack at 01:47 BST. Upon arrival, officers found Haruun Hassan, a local resident, suffering from severe injuries. Despite the immediate response from paramedics with the London Ambulance Service, Hassan was pronounced dead at the scene.
Specialist officers are providing support to Hassan’s family during this difficult period. Detective Chief Inspector Paul Waller expressed condolences, stating, “Our thoughts remain with Haruun’s family during this very difficult time. Our investigation is progressing and we have made two arrests, with those people now in custody.”
