Emergency responders were dispatched to Richmond Terrace near Avonmouth Docks at approximately 20:30 BST, according to Avon and Somerset police. The incident involved three crew members from a cargo ship that had recently arrived at Avonmouth.

One of the men was transported to the hospital with severe injuries and is currently in a critical condition. Another individual required medical attention but has since been released from the hospital. The third person involved sustained only minor injuries.

Superintendent Deepak Kenth confirmed that all three victims are Filipino nationals. He also mentioned that there were indications that racist language may have been directed at at least one of the men during the incident. As a result, the police are investigating the matter as a suspected hate crime, while awaiting further information.
