A 102-year-old man is currently in a critical state following an alleged assault at a pub. The incident took place at The Crow’s Nest in Cwmbran, Torfaen, with emergency responders arriving at the scene around 22:25 BST on 1 August. The elderly man was promptly transported to hospital for treatment.

Authorities have detained a 56-year-old man from Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. This individual has since been released while the investigation continues.
