A 46-year-old man has been formally charged in connection with the death of a 75-year-old woman following what police suspect was a burglary in north London. The incident occurred on the night of 11 August in the Tollington Park area of Finsbury Park, prompting emergency services to respond to reports of a break-in.
The victim, Rose Smith, was rushed to hospital but tragically passed away the next day. Alongside her, an 81-year-old man was also hospitalized but was later discharged after receiving treatment. Authorities arrested Jeffrey Dean Rose, residing at Apsley Close in North Harrow, on 21 August. He now faces charges of manslaughter and aggravated burglary.
