A 45-year-old man has been formally charged with the murder of a general practitioner found deceased in her home. The deceased, Dr. Hannah Terry, also known by the name Hannah Cain, was discovered at a property located in Fern Hill, Dersingham, Norfolk on Sunday.

Authorities from Norfolk Police confirmed that Mark Cain, aged 45 and residing in the same area, is the individual facing the murder charge. Following his arrest, he has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Grimston Medical Centre, where Dr. Terry was a member of the practice team, has issued a notice on their website announcing a temporary closure. The statement cited “extremely difficult circumstances affecting our practice team” as the reason for the suspension of services.

In response to the tragedy, members of the community have expressed their sympathy at the medical centre. A bench outside the practice has been adorned with flowers and a teddy bear, along with a card from two patients which reads: “Dear Dr Hannah Terry. We are so shocked and saddened to hear such tragic news.
